Change Bio

The manufacturing layer for designed proteins.

Designed proteins are faster to generate than they are to make.

The systems we currently have to manufacture proteins are constraining what we can imagine and design them to do.

We close the gap between sequence and scale.

What we do

The proteins that will matter this decade will not be the ones evolution handed us. They will be designed, as much for how they are made as for what they do. The bottleneck is no longer design. It is manufacturing.

Change Bio is building the platform that closes that gap. We make designed proteins at bioreactor scale, generate the data that makes manufacturability predictable, and license the know-how to produce the winners.

The arc

Every designed protein follows the same arc. We work at every stage.

A three-stage arc from sequence design, through prototype production, to industrial scale.
  • Design

Make manufacturability a first-class concern from the first sequence. Build and screen libraries in K. phaffii in your own lab.

  • Prototype

Send us a sequence. We return a usable protein sample, made under industrially representative conditions, in weeks.

    Rapid prototyping
  • Scale

Licensing for operators producing designed proteins at industrial scale.

Why us

  • Bioreactor first

Every sample is produced under industrially representative conditions.

  • Data driven

We generate manufacturability data, not just protein.

  • Designed to scale

A direct route from prototype to production.
